Ghana’s Calling African American’s Home

It’s time to come home.

Come home,

And learn

The true story

Of black history.

Walk the dark passageways,

Look out the celled narrow windows

To the Atlantic Ocean’s rushing waves.

Look through the dark dungeon windows of your chained ancestors.

Walk where they walked,

Sweat where they sweated,

See where their dreams were left at the shore

And where their personal demons were met.

Come feel their painful sorrow.

Not sure of tomorrow,

See the balls and chains that kept them captive.

Come and weep where they wept.

And heal your broken sorrow.
